"Noel" Tag

Patterned paper – earth tone stripes 
Adhesive (Hermafix or tape runner, etc.) 
Glue Dots 
Dye ink pad – brown  


  1. Cut a piece of maroon cardstock to measure 5 ½” X 11”. Fold in half to create a 5 ½” square card.
  2. Punch each corner on front flap of card (for corners near fold, you will have to punch through 2 layers) using heritage corner punch. On each side of each punched corner, punch one small circle.
  3. Cut a piece of patterned paper to measure 5” X 5”. Adhere to center of front flap of card.
  4. Cut a piece of gold cardstock to measure 3 ¼” X 4”. Punch 2 corners using heritage corner punch. Smear tag several times across brown ink pad.
  5. Cut a piece of gold cardstock to measure 5 ½” square. Smear edges of cardstock piece along ink pad for aged edges. Adhere this piece to inside of back flap of card.
  6. Cut a piece of hunter cardstock to measure 3 ¼” X 2 ½”. Punch along each long edge with holly border punch. Adhere to center of tag.
  7. Cut and tear a strip from maroon cardstock to fit in center of hunter punched strip. Adhere 4 buttons to this strip, approximately ¼” apart. Using hand punch, punch circle between each button. Adhere both layers to center of tag.
  8. Journal or stamp “NOEL” in lower right corner of tag.
  9. Using ¼” circle hand punch, punch 2 holes approximately ¼” apart near top of tag. Thread ribbon through holes several times and tie. 4 strands from ribbon should be sticking up from tag.
  10. Adhere tag to front flap of card.
