Directions:

 

Reindeer:

 

With the sponge brush, paint the outside of the cowbell with the Mocha brown acrylic paint. Let dry. Repeat with another coat of paint. Let dry. With the fine tip paintbrush, paint the red hearts for the cheeks on either side of the center of the bell, referring to the sample. Let dry. When paints are completely dry, brush on a coat of the glossy acrylic varnish. Let dry.

 

Trace and cut out pieces from foamie and felt according to the patterns.

 

Edge the reindeer antlers with a little white acrylic paint. Let dry. Lightly paint the center of each ear with the white acrylic paint, painting from the rounded side out. Let dry.

 

Glue an antler on either side of the top of the bell. Place a dab of glue on the rounded end of the ears and pinch . Glue the ears below the antlers, Optional: Cut apart a Christmas pick and glue some leaves and berries to one side of the reindeer’s head. Make a bow with the ” ribbon and glue on top of the head.

 

Glue the two moving eyes to the face, above the heart cheeks. Glue the red pom pom below the eyes and between the cheeks for the nose. Use the black permanent marker to draw a smile below the nose.

 

Tie the ends of the 1/8” ribbon together. Slip knot to the bell’s top handle for the ornament hanger.

 

Penguin:

 

 

With the sponge brush, paint one side of the outside of the cowbell with the white acrylic paint. Let dry. Repeat with another coat of paint. Let dry. Place the Body pattern over the white with the bottom aligned with the bottom of the bell. Trace around with a pencil. Paint the rest of the outside of the bell with the black acrylic paint, leaving only the Body area white. Let dry. With the fine tip paintbrush, paint the red hearts for the cheeks on either side of the top circular area of the body, the face, referring to the sample. Let dry. Use the end of the paintbrush to make to dip dot eyes with the black paint. Let dry. When paints are completely dry, brush on a coat of the glossy acrylic varnish. Let dry. Glue the orange foamie triangle below the eyes for the beak.

 

Trace and cut out pieces from foamie and felt according to the patterns.

 

Position a wing on either side of the body and glue in place.

 

For the beanie, fold the red felt in half, aligning the 3” edges. Glue the 3” edges together to form a tube. On one of the raw edges, stitch a running stitch with the crochet thread. Pull thread tight to gather felt. Tie securely and trim off excess thread. Turn the felt tube right side out. Glue the white pom pom to the gathered center. Roll the other raw edge up twice. Cut a tiny slit on the top near the pom pom.

 

Tie the ends of the 1/8” ribbon together. Slip knot to the bell’s top handle for the ornament hanger. Place the beanie on top of the penguin. Slip the ribbon hanger through the slit in the beanie.
