Valentine Wand

One wire from Crystal Heart Spray –red (BF floral dept.)

One roll 1/8” pink satin ribbon (Sold by the Spool)

Approx. 24” lengths of assorted yarns (Schachenmayr –salsa, Glamour yarn-red, St. Louis Trimming 1/8” flat gold cord)

All Night Media heart stamps (Dee’s Triple Ups)

Susan Branch rubber stamp – "The best gifts are tied with heartstrings"  (All Night Media)

"Happy Valentine’s Day" rubber stamp (Hero Arts)

Brilliance ink pad (pearlescent orchid)

Brilliance ink (gold) or gold acrylic paint

Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky Glue

6” x 1”white card stock

Small hole punch

” paint brush

Bend the top of the crystal heart spray (portion with beads) into a heart shape, bending the top heart to secure and looping the bottom part of the wire through heart shape.

Apply tacky glue to the wand handle and wrap the pink satin ribbon around it in a spiral fashion to cover it.  Bend a small loop at the end of the handle.

Using the brush, paint the gold ink or gold acrylic paint onto the wire forming the heart shape. Be careful to move the heart beads around so they do not stick to the ink/paint.

Tie the assorted yarn pieces onto the wand beneath the wire heart and add a bow made from the extra pink satin ribbon.

Fold the white card stock in half and stamp the Susan Branch word stamp inside the card using orchid ink. Stamp the outside of the card with the "Happy Valentine’s Day" stamp again using the orchid ink. Using the ink included in the heart Triple Up set (pink), stamp the solid heart on the front of the card. With the Brilliance orchid ink, stamp the heart outline over the solid heart design.

Punch a hole in the upper left corner of the card and tie it on to the wand using one strand of yarn.
